What documents do you need to complete an application?

ID Card/Valid Passport
Ensure you have your SA Identity Card/Book or Valid SA Passport.

Parent/Guardian Income/Employment Proof
This could be:

Payslip(s)

An affidavit should none of your guardian(s)/parent(s) have employment

Tertiary & Accommodation Fee Statement
Your tertiary student fee statement for 2025 confirming your outstanding balance. We will not fund any historic debt before the 2025 academic year. If you are residing in Tertiary Institution provided accommodation, your statement confirming the amounts due for the entire 2025 year.

Proof of Address
This could be a utility bill, bank statement or other document confirming your home address. Please note that bursaries are limited to residents of the
following municipalities in the Northern Cape: Emthanjeni; Renosterberg; Siyathemba

Academic Transcript
You will need your full academic record and/or Matric results to upload as part of your application. Please ensure you have this document on hand before starting your application.

Affidavit Confirmation
An affidavit to confirm the following:
(1) Confirmation that your home residence
is in the catchment area
(2) that you declare that you have no other funding and
(3) declare if this is the first time you are registered to study at a higher education institution

Danish Vocational Program
Do you think that you might want to take a gap year?
How about you travel to a new country, learn something new and come back with a valuable skill?
This pathway is for you if – you’re interested in a non-traditional path. You can get exposure to global agriculture, windmill construction, mechanical and butchery modules in Denmark.
B - Mid Year 2025 Open
2nd Semester 2025 Intake
Are you confident that you have passed your first semester and have a good academic record?
Are you from one of the Northern Cape
catchment municipalities: Emthanjeni;
Renosterberg; Siyathemba
Then this pathway is for you!
Please note that the bursary does not cover historical debt, and the bursary will only apply to the 2025 academic year.
Applications are reviewed on an individual basis, and available spaces are limited.
C - Closed
Trade School Pathway
Do you love to work with your hands?
Would you love to learn how to build, make or construct major infrastructure, energy projects, bridges, cities and highways?
Then this pathway is for you!
Find a program that you can be passionate about, dig deep and let us know which trade you want to excel in.
How the mid year application process works
1. Sign Up below
Use the link to go to mulilo.xhuma.io and Sign Up using your details. You'll receive an OTP through your email. Input the 6 digit code to log into your account.

Please note if you received an invitation to apply then use the email address to Sign Up.
3. Attach your Student Statement, Accommodation & Affidavit request should you be shortlisted
You will receive a request for additional info from us should you make the next step of the process.
Student statement:
Here you need to attach your current 2025 student statement with outstanding amounts for this year

Current accommodation:
Attach a statement confirming your current accommodation with outstanding amounts

Affidavit:
Attach an affidavit confirming your current residential address
5. Receive your final application outcome
2. Complete an application under Bursary Actions
Click on Bursary Actions and Start your Bursary Application. Ensure you select your preferred opportunity. Once your application is complete you will receive a confirmation email.
4. Await feedback from us
We will be in touch with any further requests needed from our side.
We will communicate your final application outcome with you the moment it is available.
